Tuscany Horse Trails is a venture set up by Annabel Ross and Augusto Coltelli, two passionate horse riders and breeders.

We have joined together to produce what we consider a once-in-a-lifetime experience between man and horse.

Tuscany is by no means unknown....you immediately think of rolling hills and cypress clad tracks; but let’s just diversify a little.

Ever thought of the north of Tuscany? This magical place is known as the Lunigiana. A mystical land on the borders of Tuscany, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna, between mountain and sea, where once upon a time pilgrims travelled along ancient woodland lanes in search of their destiny. Time appears to stand still amidst the greenery of neverending chestnut glades, reaching to the heights of the Appenines, from where you can see for countless miles over a sea of hills and mountain ranges.

This trail was invented for those who really want to get away from it all. You will not hear a sound apart from your horses hooves; you will be looked after perfectly in the saddle by your trusty steed and by Annabel, your guide; you will be treated like a king or queen in our specially selected farm holidays, with food,wine and accommodation to match. All farm holidays are stone-built in typical Tuscan style and furnished likewise, and all have a swimming pool to relax in after the days riding.

The trail is a round trip crossing the River Magra from the eastern to the western side and back again..
